Taste the Fabulosity of Chocolate Sensation!
If you haven't already guessed the topic of this month's activity, then clearly I have not been doing my job correctly. That said, welcome to the Chocolate Chase! Grab a partner, because it might actually be easier that way! If you haven't already, I suggest heading to The Roost forum to sign up for one. Don't worry, you'll have a week to do so, before the puzzles begin!
That said, what is the Chocolate Chase?
Simply put: you will be given a few chocolate-related puzzles that you must solve in order to find puzzle pieces. Each week, I will be putting up two different puzzles, where the answer to each puzzle leads you to a link. This link will contain other requirements that you should follow. If done correctly, you will get one or two words that should lead you straight to a puzzle piece. Follow me so far?

So in order for you to continue, you need to fill in the blank with the answer:

Then just type that up in your browser, and press Enter!
How the Chase works:
As far as the racing goes, you will be timed. But you will also have to be accurate. Some puzzles will prompt you to email us, in which case, correct solutions will knock off the time you spent trying to solve. So let's say Edmund finds the answer link in one hour, and Cassie finds the answer link in two hours. Edmund sends an incorrect solution to one of the puzzles, and Cassie sends one correct answer. Cassie gets one hour off, making Edmund and Cassie tie. Depending on the puzzle, the amount of time knocked off each answer will vary.
So if you understand that so far, then you're on the right track! Your first puzzle will be available to you at the start of the race, which will be Monday, 6 February, 9 am EST. |
