Due to the changes in captaincy this year, we decided to put off the captain's choice awards until the very end.

Description: An honour presented to the Ravenclaw Quidditch player whom the captains decide demonstrate excellent dedication, sportsmanship, and skill.

In our first game of the season, We defeated GQT 300 to 90. It was pretty easy to decide who would get the award for this game! Our amazing keeping, Edmund Smethwyck, only let in 4 goals in the entire game earning him a blocking percentage of 73% and this award!

Our second game saw a major victory for RQT over HQT with a final score of 500 to 20. Miss Kirra Rohan was responsible for 1/5 of our entire score which made her more than deserving for this award!

And in the final game of the first half of the season, RQT took down SQT 200-80. It was a good game and the whole team put forth a great effort. Part of this effort came from Arielle Lemoyne who earned this award not only for her performance in this game, but also for stepping up as co-captain in the middle of a season. She had some big shoes to fill and has done such an amazing job so far!

We started out the second half of our season with a 210-90 victory over GQT. Despite issues with the puzzle, rescheduling, and reffing, our fabulous seeker Scarlet Leslie stayed strong through it all, and ended up playing a very impressive game against one of HOL's best seekers!

In our next game, we defeated HQT, 420 to 40! This was a very succesful game, especially for our chaser, Amy Charz who earned the award for this game! She was responsible for almost half of our points, scoring a total of 18 goals!

We finished up the season with a 160-30 defeat of SQT! This was one of our most difficult matches, but everyone stayed focused and contributed to a win! For this award, we chose Pavel Lagrange, for his fantastic performance as beater - his 13 blocks helped us keep Slytherin from scoring more than 3 goals!

Finally, we decided to do an overall captain's choice award. This award goes to someone who has not only fulfilled her QB duties, but has also been a crucial part of RQT's line up for several games. She also did so much more behind the scenes. When RQT was have issues with captains, she was there to help sort things out and keep me from losing my mind. That is why the overall captain's choice award for the 2011-2012 season goes to Maya Winters!
