With rehearsals underway and going well, it’s time to start adding in the creative elements, such as props, scenery, lighting and sound. All these pieces have been expertly designed by the students responsible for them, and watching them come together is quite a remarkable sight.
Task:
Design a piece of scenery or prop that you can see being used in the production. You could make a photo collage, draw the piece, or manipulate photographs in another way.
Alternatively, describe the piece of scenery or prop in at least 125 words.
This task is worth 10 beans/sapphires, with an additional 10 bonus beans/sapphires available for completing all Week Three (Rehearsals) tasks by the end of activity (January 31st.)

This is a backdrop for the opening scene. The scene is set against the backdrop of the Hogwarts Castle on a winter morning. A witch is seen in the backdrop, flying away from the Hogwarts Castle on her broomstick while waving to everyone. Her escape from the Hogwarts Castle sets in motion a thrilling story that is about to unfold through the play. The actors will be performing the first act in front of this backdrop, discussing her escape in excited voices as part of the first act.

The backdrop for the third scene is a snowy view of Hogsmeade, from the perspective of looking down the main street toward the town center. There are various recognizable buildings, such as Honeydukes, Zonko's, and the Three Broomsticks, which is in the foremost left hand corner. The buildings are all decorated with colorful lights and garlands for the holiday season; the lights twinkle magically on the backdrop. In the center of the backdrop, there is a large, decorated Christmas tree with a bright, magically lit star on top. The tree is surrounded by presents and a few magically animated (but silent, so as not to distribute the scene) snowmen, who perform a series of repeated actions, such as tilting their hat at cast members, waving at the audience, and spinning joyously in a circle.

The backdrop for one of the scenes is a carnival or fair. It is dark and the full moon is out hanging from a steady string above. There are wooden booths around decorated personally - booths for food were decorated like the food they were selling, booths for fun and games were decorated like the games being offered, and more. One booth sold popcorn and therefore had creative popcorn designs, some booths sold mouthwatering drinks like blue lemonade and Butterbeer, and tons of people were lining up not only for that but also for the darts games, cans games, and the typical fun you would see at a carnival. It is a very colorful place, with various color lights around the place. There was a ferris wheel revolving, a carousel rides, and others, with kids and adults enjoying them. This happens during one of the acts where after an exhausting week at Hogwarts, a few students decided to go to this carnival and enjoy all the stands and rides.

The prop is an invention of mine, a multipurpose furniture piece. For each scene, according to the needs, the piece can change shape, colour and morph into any furniture piece as long as the person who casts the spell has seen it before. There are a few kinks to it though. The spell is such that the person who casts it has to think of the piece of furniture they want constantly or else it will morph into something else. Like if you want an armchair and you spell the piece so you have an armchair, and halfway through the scene you think of a bed, the piece will turn into the bed you have in mind. You have some mind controlling properties over it, which can be a hazard if you think of it.

The backdrop spans the width of the stage, depicting the Quidditch Pitch at Hogwarts. The sky transitions from a golden sunrise on one end to a vivid sunset on the other, capturing the length of the scene and the match. The backdrop seamlessly incorporates enchanted elements, with shimmering golden threads creating an illusion of broomsticks flying through the air.
Miniature Quaffles and Bludgers hover in the air by strings. They gently sway and float across the backdrop, adding a touch of realism to the Quidditch action. The Golden Snitch is the only one and has a gold dust-like comet tail trailing it around the stage. Fluttering high above the pitch, House banners proudly display the houses.
Lighting specialists will also utilize lighting effects to simulate the changing sky from dawn to dusk, enhancing the mood and atmosphere of the Quidditch matches. They will also focus spotlights to highlight players during pivotal moments, adding a dramatic flair to the performance.
