Week One - Task 02. - “Whispers in the Bark”
Posted: Fri Oct 04, 2024 4:33 pmAs the crowd gathers together a few feet far from the forest, voices overlapping, you continue to observe the forest. It is still unbelievable how it is right there before your eyes.
As you are about to leave, your eyes glance upon an odd scratch shape on one of the trees’ bark. You do a double take before squinting your eyes at it. Huh.
You might be overthinking a detail that is nothing, but a forest doesn’t come out of nowhere overnight now, does it? If there was something on the bark of one tree, maybe it would mean something. A village disappearing is already a concern, a forest replacing it is another–is there another problem within this replacement that is more than meets the eye?
Your speculation is interrupted by the authorities as they gently signal for the people to back up, “Everyone, I’m gonna need you all to step away from the forest first as we investigate. You may go back to your homes now, alright?”

Solve this tents puzzle to examine the forest more carefully. Send your solution to Katherine Laurier in a Private Message on the Roost with the subject “Week One - Task 02. - “Whispers in the Bark””.
Alternatively, in at least 150 words, write a letter to a fictional original character (may it be the mayor of the town, a friend, a relative, etc) and talk about the situation. How do you feel about it? What do you think is going on?
This task is worth 15 beans/sapphires. You can earn an additional 10 bonus beans for completing all Week One tasks by Friday, October 31st, at 11:59 PM (HOL time).
Upon completion of this task, an additional “task” in the form of a symbol or puzzle will be sent to you by me, Katherine Laurier, through Private Message within 24 hours. You can accomplish this as a means of earning more beans and sapphires, however this is not required for you to complete, just like any other “regular” task.
