Week Four - Task 10. - “The Final Piece”
Posted: Sat Oct 26, 2024 5:07 am
You sigh as you stare down at the clues. Not much to go after.
You stand up and grab your bag, walking to the forest again. There must be something in there that would connect all of these confusing clues that didn’t seem to lead to a proper answer. You make sure you don’t seem like you’re on a mission and that you are unseen as you walk into it.
Walking into the forest, you notice the same things. Scratches that didn’t seem to be coincidental on the barks of the trees, some even seeming to be in the shape of hearts or smiley faces when you looked closer; the quiet stillness of the forest; flickers of light in the corner of your eyes.
You have speculated that all of these were remnants of the villagers, but you pushed that thought aside. You were never sure how that could’ve worked. Well, how could the whole thing have worked anyway–a village into a forest? It was all unbelievable.
You tapped your foot on the ground, looking around the forest and racking your brain for how it could all connect.
And then it clicked.
