Week Three: Task #9 - “The Perfect Ingredient”
Posted: Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:19 am
As you assemble at the meet point for the day's activity, you spot a very stressed out Professor at the edge of the forest amongst some baskets.
”One, two, three…. Mmm, Seven…” The Professor counts baskets, then looks over to students and starts counting student heads. ”...Eleven? No, Ten…”
”Everything alright Professor?” A student closer asks.
The professor looks over, their concentration breaking.
”Oh! Yes m’dear! Come, come, gather all and hand out these baskets. There should be enough…” The Professor adds not too confidently.
”Welcome to this week's Potions Scavenger! Today we will be heading to the groves and mossy areas in the forest to gather some natural potion ingredients. That’s what the baskets are for. Very exciting!” The Professor Chimes in excitement.
” We will be focusing on common potion ingredients. Can anyone tell me why they are important?”
”They are usually used as a stabilizer, thickener or base for most potions I think.” A student to the left adds.
”Correct, although these reasons mentioned are all important, sometimes it can just be as simple as to add colour, taste and smell. But can even be a key ingredient depending on the type of potion and how common the ingredient. Well done! You all have your list of basic potion ingredients with you? Chop, chop, let's go!”
You head into the forest with the Professor leading.
Task:
There are some common Potion Ingredients hidden in this Word Search. See if you can find them all. Send your solution to me through a Private Message, labelled: Week Three - Task #09. - “The Perfect Ingredient”
Alternatively, in 120 words, tell us your opinion on whether you think ordinary (non magic) ingredients are needed in combination with magical ingredients to make potions work or not, and why you think this?
This task is worth 10 Beans/Sapphires and is due on November 30th before 11:59PM HOL time.
