Before next week gets too crazy for many of us to have some dedicated creative time, or perhaps to enjoy some peaceful, creative time before the crazy following week(s), this one is up to you! Your task is to create some form of tribute to Professor Minerva McGonagall and/or Dame Maggie Smith. This can be a drawing, a poem, a short story...whatever comes to mind! Just make sure it's worthy of 10 sapphires/beans.

Post your creation below by 11:59 PM HOL time on December 31st to earn those 10 sapphires/beans. Remember that if you submit your creation by the end of the week on Saturday, December 21st, by 11:59pm HOL time, I will send you a word to unscramble for an extra 10 sapphires/beans.

(I apologize for getting this one posted so late this week - I've had some medical things going on.)

Professor McGonagall, a beacon around these halls,
Filled with wisdom that is barely contained by the walls.
Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, a hatstall that occurs to few,
Eventually, her bravery proved to be more true.

An animagus, taking the form of a cat,
Fitting for a Transfiguration Professor, isn't that?
Passion for teaching, yet room for more,
Quidditch is another aspect that she can adore.

With a life full of passion and challenges throughout,
Her fiery personality will leave nothing up to doubt.
Fair and stern, giving credit where credit is due,
The embodiment of strength, mental and physical, through and through.

Fantastic poem, River!

A professor with a stern stance,
Or a cat animagus with green eyes,
Professor Minerva McGonagall lives on in tributes,
Even as time flies.

An excellent professor of Transfiguration,
An epitomal blend of fairness and discipline,
A passion for Quidditch at the heart of her kind soul,
Such a strong personality has rarely been seen.

Stood up to her enemies,
Protective of her friends,
A stunning witch in robes of emerald green,
With an impeccable fashion sense.

Embodied the true spirit of Gryffindor,
In the battle of Hogwarts,
Cast a spell on the knights in armor,
The Head of House that led Gryffindor forwards.

Member of the Order of the Phoenix,
A true friend of Dumbledore,
A guardian, mentor, and teacher to Harry Potter,
A person anyone would find difficult to ignore.
