The Last Word

Similar to regular story chains, each player must post one sentence continuing the story, but the Last Word game has a twist! The first word of the next sentence must be the last word of the previous sentence.

Additionally, feel free to start a new story if the current story feels complete or if you want to go in a different direction. When doing so, make sure to state in your post you are starting a new story. Even when starting a new story, the rule still applies—the first word must be the last word of the previous sentence!

Here's an example:
Player 1: I knock on the door nervously.
Player 2 Nervously, I wait for it to open.
Player 3: Open it does, but no one is there.
Player 4: There is only a book, open on a specific page.
Player 5: Page 394 showed information about werewolves.
Player 6 (NEW STORY) Werewolves never roamed this city before.
Player 7: Before, we were known as the city of peace.
Player 8: Peace quickly vanished when werewolves came.
Player 9: Came with them were a certain species of creatures.
Player 10: Creatures that were never seen before, causing much confusion.
And so on!
