Week Four - Task #10. - "The Astronomy Tower"

You're doing so well so far and can't wait for what tasks are coming up. You find out that your next badge is located in quite a mysterious and peculiar place. Astronomy is a common interest in your group and you just can't wait to get started on finding this one.

Your group climbs all the way up to the Astronomy Tower. You race up, excited for what awaits you at the top. Your group are getting tired and become exhausted by the time you reach the top. You wonder why you raced up all those steps. Kind of a silly thing to do, the badge isn't going anywhere.

This badge was surprisingly fairly easy to find compared to some of the others. But there's a catch. You found a note with the badge that reads “now that you’ve found me, hold me to the sky, look through the telescope and tell me what you find”.

Task:
Give us at least 100 words about your discoveries from looking through the telescopes. Did you see a constellation, a planet, or perhaps the moon with its craters? Maybe you potentially made a new discovery and want to share it with us. Be as creative as you want.

Alternatively, create a piece of art with what you are observing through the telescope.

When I looked through the telescope, I wasn’t really expecting much. Just the usual stars and maybe a planet if I was lucky. But then I saw something kind of strange. It wasn’t where I thought anything should be, somewhere between Orion’s belt and Sirius, and it glowed this faint violet color, not like any star I’d seen before. I played around with the focus a bit and it got clearer, still small but weirdly steady, like it was just hanging there on purpose. I don’t know if it’s anything new or just something I’ve missed before, but I wrote down the spot and gave it an unofficial name of Lumos Minor.
