Recently, on May 4, 2022 a new girl group from Japan called PRIKIL (プリキル) debuted. The group made their debut with the single ‘SOMEBODY’. The MV of this group was released on April 17, 2022. The song is about someone who dreams to be somebody, being the most dazzling and cool girl ever. Being someone special.
PRIKIL were formed through a survival show, Who Is Princess? The group consists of 5 girls; Rinko, Rin, Uta, Yukino, and Nana. PRIKIL is a combination of “PRINCESS” from the survival show’s name and “KILL”. It means deadly charm or ‘princesses who are here to kill the stage’. The fans of PRIKIL is called PREMIER.
