Week 1 - Task 3 - Castle Navigation

The train finally arrives at the Hogsmeade Station. You and your friends get all of your luggage and get off the train. You head over to the carriages that will take you to Hogwarts. It’s a short trip and then the castle is in front of you. The carriages arrived early enough that you have some time to kill before the welcome feast. As you start to wander around the castle, with the stairs changing on you every few minutes, you realize that you have forgotten how confusing it can be trying to find your way around the castle. It can be distracting as well, with the talking portraits happy to finally have different people to interact with again. With a start, you look around and do not recognize your surroundings. Of course you have explored the castle before but there was only a limited time for exploration because of homework and studying and activities and Hogsmeade trips. You have yet to cover the whole castle.
You try not to panic and remember that some of the portraits are actually pretty helpful sometimes. You begin to look for familiar faces and hope that they can guide you back to the Great Hall in time for the welcome feast.

Alternatively, you can write in 100 words or more about how you would navigate through the castle, which portraits you would seek help from, how far away you made it before realizing you didn’t know where exactly you are.

This task is worth 10 beans, with 15 additional beans available if all Week One activities are completed. Everything is due by 11:59 pm HOL time on September 30th.
