Week Three - Task 09. - “Pieces of the Puzzle”

Postby Katherine Laurier » Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:13 am

You take the object you found home for further inspection. You find it odd that it was there now but not there the first time you went into the forest, which was not long ago.

Now, you have all the pieces of the puzzle in front of you–your observations and the object. You feel stuck; each clue seems disconnected, yet somehow they all feel like parts of a larger whole, pieces that are essential to cracking the case. You just have to realize their connection now.

Task:
Create a collage that includes at least 6 pictures—each representing a different aspect of your journey, the clues you’ve uncovered, and inferences or guesses you have at the moment. Your images can be anything that reflect the mystery: symbols, landscapes, artifacts, or emotions that you connect with the mystery.

Alternatively, write at least 150 words about an object significant to you. What is it and why is it important to you?

This task is worth 15 beans/sapphires. You can earn an additional 10 bonus beans for completing all Week Three tasks by Friday, October 31st, at 11:59 PM (HOL time).

Upon completion of this task, an additional “task” in the form of a symbol or puzzle will be sent to you by me, Katherine Laurier, through Private Message within 24 hours. You can accomplish this as a means of earning more beans and sapphires, however this is not required for you to complete, just like any other “regular” task. Alternatives for the symbol/puzzle may be requested through the same Private Message. For more detailed information, feel free to check Information and Questions or ask me a question through PM!

One object I own that is really important to me is a little memory book made by one of my friends in primary school. I had a bit of a rough time making friends as a kid, so the book this friend made really touched me and even now I still cry every time I bring it out. It is a little hand-made book full of quizzes, puzzles, photos of us and our year mates at the time, little compliments and anecdotes that she got those yearmates to write, and it is also just chock-full of her own special brand of humour.

We only reach out every couple of years now, and I'm unsure if she knows just how much that book meant to me. It's both a time capsule and a reminder that at least at one point in my life, I was really cherished by someone who was willing to put in so much effort on something special for me. Honestly though, I think it really shaped me as a person and made me feel so grateful for the people around me. It has inspired me to since make similar memory books for other friends of mine.
