As much as it may annoy some people to hear, if you’re told to clean or tidy your room on May 10th, you should probably do it, because that is indeed National Clean Your Room Day! This celebration was invented in 1995 by a parent to motivate her child to clean her bedroom, and it has since been adopted properly and celebrated across the United States. This day has already passed for this year though, so make sure you set a reminder so you don’t miss a great opportunity to do some spring cleaning next year *wink*
