Professor Pendragon: A Quick Peek

You might have heard the rumors...well, they're true. Ravenclaw has a brand, *sparkly* professor--Professor Charles Pendragon. He teaches Arithmancy for Amateurs, for everyone who is interested in doing weird things with numbers. He had decided that since there were no arithmancy classes last term, he would apply to teach such a class. In an ironic twist of events, HOL now has three arithmancy classes.

Professor Pendragon didn't join Ravenclaw because we brainwashed him. (Drat! And I thought my brainwashing skills were improving! *pouts*). Apparently, Ravenclaw is his house. He was a "Claw" when he was at Hogwarts (a loooooong time ago) and he couldn't see being in any other house. Professor Pendragon is excited to be in Ravenclaw because the house staff has been very welcoming. (Prof. Ulol? Welcoming?!) Professor Pendragon claims that "Ravenclaw values wisdom above all else, and I value education, so our values are the same."

Before coming to teach at HOL, he was a professor at a school for squibs in Wales. He should be really excited to have the opportunity to teach real witches and wizards (like me!) instead of having to teaching the "magically challenged". Allegedly, he thought that for a time teaching squibs was his calling (do people really get callings like that?), but now he knows that HOL is the only place for him! If you happen to be in Professor Pendragon's Arithmancy for Amateurs class, a good gag from Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes will do the trick to bribe him. *hinthint*

Professor Pendragon has been active in HOL by teaching his class, chatting in #hpgalleries, rating stories, making topic suggestions in the library and he is also a judge for the 2007 HOL Idol. So, if you happen to see him in the hall, say hello (or hide!).
